The parks are surrounded by 6-foot high chain link fences with one main entrance so dogs can't escape unleashed.

On top of old Chandler landfill, north of Ocotillo Rd. west side of McQueen Rd.

4worldlovers: Due to high use of the active area, Gilbert Parks and Recreation will preform maintenance rotation of the West and East Active areas. For the safety of the dogs and their owners, we will be repairing holes, wash outs, improving turf, and making any other repairs as needed.

The repair process will rotate, but one side will remain open at all times. For example, when the West area is open the East area will be closed. After the repairs are completed on the East area, this portion will reopen and the West area will then be closed for maintenance.

Dogs may run "off leash" only in fenced areas. They must be leashed prior to entering and upon leaving the fenced area.

Dog owners must be in attendance with his/her dog and carry a leash at all times.

Dog treats and food are not allowed in the fenced area.

As you walk along the main path toward the active dog area, a brick memorial was created that acts as a special place for residents who have lost furry family members to reflect. About 1,400 bricks were originally installed. Purchased as an outpouring of residents expressing messages of love and memories for their dogs – dogs who had passed, those whom residents had grown up with, and those who continue to brighten our lives.

4worldlovers: These guidelines will help to ensure that your dog parks stay clean and safe.

Please use the mutt mitt dispensers and waste containers located at the parks' fence lines. Owners/custodians must clean up after their dog(s) to decrease the spread of disease.

Dogs must be kept on a leash until the owners/custodian and dog(s) are in the dog park and the entrance gates are fully closed after entry. Outside of gated dog parks, the Phoenix Leash Law applies at all times and in all places.

Owners/custodians must maintain voice control over their dog(s) and keep them in sight while visiting the dog park.

Dog behavior can be unpredictable around other dogs and strangers. For the safety of all the dogs at the parks, immediately leash your dog if it exhibits aggressive behavior and leave the dog park area.

To help keep the dog parks clean, please do not groom animals at the park.

Maricopa County requires that all dogs in the county be licensed. In addition to being licensed, dogs must be older than 4 months and be currently vaccinated.

To discourage aggressive behavior, the city of Phoenix recommends that dog owners only bring animals that have been spayed or neutered.

Absolutely no female dogs in heat are allowed into exercise areas.

Smoking, alcoholic beverages, and food are not permitted within the fenced areas.

Some dogs exhibit unpredictable behavior around small children. For the safety of children please do not bring children under the age of 12 into the dog parks.

Owners/custodians of a dog are responsible for the acts and conduct of their animal at all times when it is in a city park.
