Our 4th annual KEYBOX KIDS HELPING KIDS recital at Freestone Park in Gilbert is Saturday, October 21st and we are getting so excited!

This fun outdoor recital and BBQ supports our mission of enhancing the lives of our students through music. All donations go directly to Feed My Starving Children. Last year we raised $3000 that we gifted when we volunteered at their meal packing facility in November.

Jam With Jimmi T is very different to most traditional piano studios.

I love music......its my passion and my life..... BUT I hated taking lessons when I was a kid because they were boring and not much fun.

So all my lessons are focused on learning while having fun, and being creative. My students get a chance to really appreciate music, as well as learn piano and all it has to offer. At Jam With Jimmi T we learn through games, technology, curiosity and fun. I have created a fun, relevant and modern experience for all my students and I often mix current songs so my students can learn to play along.

We all love music. I believe everyone has the ability to make music. You can sing, stomp your feet, clap your hands or just enjoy listening. We all appreciates music in our own way. As a teacher my job is to find out whats the best way for you to experience music, whats the easiest and fastest way for you to learn and how to practice smart, fast and efficiently.

My mom forced me to go to piano lessons when I was a kid so I know what it feels like to have to go! Eventually I was glad she made me because music is such a huge part of my life. I love to create music, to play it, perform and teach.

My goal at Jam With Jimmi T is to make sure that no kid feels like I did. Music has so many positive benefits and I want to make sure that kids love to come here so they can develop their own appreciation for music. I offer a unique experience. I make it fun! I help students learn through creativity, technology and games.

I know that all kids love music but many resist taking lessons...why? Well first of all lessons are often not that fun. Kids feel pressure to perform for their teacher, they may feel scared to ask for help when they don't understand and this makes home practice harder.

They way I structure my piano lessons means that my students learn their music during the lessons. At my studio kids piano lessons are taught in a small group of students for an hour. During the hour there is plenty of time for students to master what they are learning and for me to integrate fun games and other teaching practices.

This means that students leave in a great mood feeling more positive about their abilities. They can continue to practice at home with less pressure and more confidence in themselves. This is such a great benefit of my model that helps both the kids and the parents, because parents don't have to nag their kids about lessons and practice!

While many parents may want private lessons for their kids, I find group lessons so much more effective for a number of reasons...

Music programs at School of Rock Gilbert combine one-on-one lessons with group band practices


Rock 101 is one of School of Rock Gilbert's top programs for kids and beginners. Students have one weekly group rehearsal where they learn to play classic rock songs that have been simplified for beginner musicians. Additionally, Rock 101 students in Gilbert have a weekly private music lesson with an instructor who helps them learn the concepts and skills behind their performance songs.


Our music programs for kids in Gilbert are designed to get students on stage performing, with the goal of building strong musical proficiency. Younger students at School of Rock Gilbert who have participated in the Rookies program can move to our Rock 101 music program once they’re ready. Additionally, students (typically ages 8 to 13-years-old) can begin Rock 101 without any prior experience. The goal of this rock program is to quickly develop a basic competence on students’ chosen instruments before moving on to our famous Performance Program.


At School of Rock Gilbert, we offer beginner guitar lessons for kids. Our expert guitar instructors guide your child from start to finish with private instruction and weekly group band rehearsals. Every instructor at School of Rock Gilbert is an experienced musician, and they emphasize foundational music theory and technique when teaching guitar lessons to kids. Unlike other Gilbert guitar lessons and programs, School of Rock is designed to get students performing in a band.


It’s never too late to learn to play the guitar. Similar to our kids guitar lessons, School of Rock Gilbert's beginner guitar lessons for adults utilizes a performance-based curriculum. Our experienced instructors teach adult students through popular rock songs, and teach students to play guitar in a way that’s challenging and fun. We believe the best way to learn is by doing, which is why we combine weekly private guitar lessons with group band rehearsals. At School of Rock Gilbert, we teach beginner guitar lessons for adults in our Adult Program. This program gets students performing onstage at a local Gilbert venue.


As students gain skills and experience, we move them along to more challenging programs at higher skill levels. Intermediate and advanced students take the skills they learned in beginner guitar lessons, and layer on more difficult techniques and concepts. School of Rock Gilbert offers advanced guitar lessons for kids and adults that teach by playing challenging classic rock songs and emphasize playing the guitar in a real music venue. Our Gilbert guitar teachers will work with each student to develop a custom learning plan.


All of School of Rock Gilbert’s music teachers are experienced musicians devoted to helping students attain musical proficiency. Our instructors guide students one-on-one to personalize learning, inspire confidence and build social skills.

Scott Conti, born in Brooklyn, NY and raised in the suburbs of Old Bridge, NJ, came from an artistically gifted family. He picked up guitar playing in the ninth grade and began composing by the 12th grade. During his time in high school, Conti's musical compositions even appeared in short films by students from Rutgers University (Manson Gross School of the Arts), after which he began playing in local clubs and coffee houses. Conti attributes the very unique and original playing of Black Sabbath's Tony Iommi, along with guitar god Jimi Hendrix, as influences in his love of playing the electric guitar. Working in numerous cover bands seasoned his talents and opened doors to recording with other musicians. He also expanded to producing others, further broadening his musical horizons.
