We are located at 9847 W. Desert Cove Ave., Peoria AZ 85345 off of 99th Ave (east side). We are north of Peoria Ave., and south of Sun City Blvd. Specifically, we are the big red brick building just south of the Immanuel Campus of Care nursing home. Our Hours of Operation are Monday thru Saturday from 9 am to 10 pm, and Sundays from 9 am to 8 pm (closing at discretion of bartenders). We have a full-service kitchen with a dining room (doubles as our Bingo Hall) and a social quarters (a.ka., bar) where you can dance or play pool or a game of electronic Bingo. We are a non-smoking post. There is an outside patio on the west side for smokers that has a misting system and shade screens. NOTE: We are always in need of volunteers to help out in the kitchen by cooking or serving or cleaning. We ask that everyone who comes into Post 62 treats our employees and volunteers with respect each and every day. Thank you.


Spread the word! The Borderlands Food Rescue Program needs our help to distribute a whole bunch of food such as papaya’s, tomatoes, bell peppers, squash, etc. We need lots of volunteers to show up @ Post 62 around 4 am and we should be done by 8 am.


Post 62 participated in three HUGE events (July 15, July 29 & August 19th) - Borderlands' P.O.W.W.O.W. This is a food rescue program where food is rescued from the fields and sent back out to the community via volunteer locations. In these three events we distributed over 80,000 pounds of food. We had over 400 Volunteer hours from the entire post family including ALA volunteer from Unit 117 and 11 community volunteers. We served approximately 260 ea (100lb Fruit boxes) and 340 ea with 70lbs of fruits and vegetables; with 450 cars being served on August 19th. Our next event is September 16 and December 30 (Mark your calendars). $15 donation for up to 70 pounds of rescued fruit and veggies. Sign-up sheets are in the Social Quarters. Volunteers are urgently needed to support this rescue starting @ 4 am.

Air conditioning situation in the Social Quarters (as of 15 Sep). The latest information is that the replacement compressor came in for one of the units for the Social Quarters. But, upon further examination, that replacement unit was damaged and couldn't be accepted. The 2nd compressor has come in and looks to be alright, so we have to schedule a crane to get it up on the roof and then install it sometime next week

I received notification from one of our members about a story that said New York City was moving homeles veterans out of their hotels to make way for immigrants coming up from south of our border. He wanted me to know that it was a fake story, and to let the other Post veterans know because they were pretty hot about this story, but didn't know it was a fake.

There have been a few fake stories/pictures lately. One (pictured above) was about a fake attack on the Pentagon. It spread so quickly that it briefly affected the Stock Market (and your retirement funds). I also saw one of former President Reagan in a soviet military uniform. And there was the fake video that former President Trump shared about CNN anchor Anderson Cooper - unknown if he knew it was a fake or not!

There is a willingness of people and rogue nations to disseminate obviously fake AI (Artificial Intelligence) generated pictures and video's because they want to keep us pitted against each other (like members of Congress). They are counting on you not to verify yourself and just take their word for it. Ultimately, they are hoping that our own division will divide us (or U.S.).
