I would recommend seeing Liz to most; she's very technically skilled and she makes an effort to work with students in their favorite genres which I appreciated. She also gives students concrete techniques and songs to work on for their next lessons, which gives you the opportunity to continually learn and progress outside her lessons. I do have some criticisms about Liz, however. She has a tendency to get wrapped up in monologues about her favorite music, plays, and backgrounds of songs right in the middle, towards the end, and even before a lesson begins. In any other scenario besides in the lesson, I would appreciate this, but the time she spends talking about this definitely adds up, and not wanting to be rude, I, and I imagine other students don't want to rush her. Added up, after 15 lessons with Liz, I imagine I ended up paying for approximately 100 to 150 minutes of her talking at me about things that didn't have much value to me. Perhaps she has a purpose in this, like to get students impassioned about what they're singing, but I saw little purpose, nor value in it unfortunately. Additionally, Liz also had a smaller tendency to not prepare for our lessons. During a lesson, she accompanies our duet singing with her piano, but sometimes does not prepare on the piano beforehand. So, during the lessons, she would play the wrong key, spend time readjusting, continue, and then repeat. I could forgive this if it was a one off occurrence, but it wasn't unfortunately. It would happen to varying degrees multiple weeks. It became very frustrating because it disrupted the flow, and cost us more unnecessary lesson time. Overall, despite my criticisms, I do feel Liz has great skill and teaching ability, I just feel that she gets wrapped up in the story and meaning behind a lot of what she sings and teaches. When someone is paying for that time, I don't think it's best to enter long discussions like these. Again, I would recommend her to most, except to those most concerned about receiving the "most bang for your buck."

Answer: I teach both Electric and Acoustic. I specialize in electric.

Answer: Blues, Rock, and Heavy Metal. For kids and beginning students, this is irrelevant. I specialize in classic rock/heavy metal.

Answer: I offer various packages based upon student's needs. It's not possible to provide recommendations without understanding students needs.
