The Foothills Library, located on 57th Avenue a quarter mile north of Union Hills Drive, was built in 1999. It matches the architectural style of the nearby Midwestern University, whose instructors regularly give talks on medical and health topics at the library. Suspended in the lobby, Dale Chihuly's blown glass chandelier, The Sun and the Moon, consists of over 1,000 individually hand-blown pieces of glass.


With 33,000 square feet of space, this library has something for everyone. Beyond our extensive collection of books, audiobooks, DVDs, Blu-Rays, music CDs, video games, Culture Passes, magazines, Wi-Fi hotspots, Backpacks, Launchpads, and more that you would expect in a library, the Foothills Library has special highlighted areas.


Our Youth Department has early literacy and tablet exploration areas featuring the Hi House kitchen, blocks, a train table, puzzles, Lego Duplo tables, and tablets preloaded with age-appropriate apps. Our Adult Department has group study rooms, quiet zone study carrels, community puzzles, and charging stations. Our teens have a comfortable place of their own to study, socialize, and charge their electronics in our Level Up Teen area.

The Glendale Public Library has been awarded the Full STEAM Ahead @ GPL LSTA Grant that will fund STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics) learning opportunities for community members of all ages across all four Glendale Public Library locations.

A Mobile Office to Go kit contains a Chromebook, a printer, and a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot with internet service that you can use for free!

The John F. Prince Library is in the center of campus, just east of the central mall, south of High Tech Center 1. The public entrances, including automated doors for disabled access, are on the east and west faces of the building behind the curved shade walls. The library website offers 24/7 "Ask-A-Librarian" live chat to assist students with research.

One can be found to the left of the doorway at the West Entrance of the Library (LMC)

The other can be found on the east side of the HU building, near the cross streets of 59th Ave and Sunnyslope Lane.

The GCCN Library & Media Services and Computer Commons, known as B or "Beshbito," is located in the center of the GCCN campus, south of the central parking lot. This building also houses the main Computer Commons and the North Technology Service Desk. Along with full library resources, students will find more than 50 computer workstations available here.
