We've been bringing our 2 large dogs to Jonathan for a few years now and are impressed every single time. The entire staff is so kind! The customer service is stellar! Our oldest dog is pretty anxious and other groomers have had difficulty grinding her nails however she feels so safe with everyone at Abril's and that really speaks for itself. I brought my Shih Tzu puppy here for her first grooming session, and Abril's Paw Spa did not disappoint. We're from out of state so good online reviews help in figuring out where to go. The reviews are spot on. I just want to add that they worked with me, and got me a spot for my pup. Not only that, they called me right away and let me know there was a cancellation so they were able to see her even earlier than previously expected. Not everyone will go out of their way like that. Each bath and brush appointment includes the highest quality shampoo at NO extra charge, brush out and complete de-shed, tartar control breath spray, ears cleaned, nails trimmed and filed, and anal glands expressed. This service is available for both dogs and cats. We offer all inclusive prices,

First and foremost, we are an appointment based business, our only walk-in services are nail trims ($20), anal glands ($10), and ear cleaning ($10). All of our bath and haircut services require an appointment and usually take about 2-3 hours, with larger breeds and more complicated behaviors running up to 4 hours (Dryer fear #1 reason for longer time). We do our absolute best to get each pet done at their individual pace, always prioritizing the overall experience over the clock.

In order to keep our wait times manageable, we limit the number of appointments we take daily, and therefore, it is very important that appointments scheduled are kept. Life happens in an instant and we will gladly accommodate a change of appointment, when communicated no less than 24 hours PRIOR to scheduled appointment. That gives us the opportunity to contact our wait list or accommodate a last minute freshen on the fly.

At this time any appointments not cancelled prior are subject to a 50% fee for the missed appointment, paid before another appointment can be offered. It's not a policy we enjoy, however, our goal is to maintain reasonable prices while offering livable wages, and that means we don't have any time to waste. We certainly don't want to deter any new or existing clients from enjoying our services, but, rather hope to work together to build a great community based on mutual respect and communication and mostly an unapologetic love of animals big and small, furry, fuzzy, or feathery. Online scheduling is ideal for dogs that are groomed on a regular schedule, usually every 2 -3 months or so. For pets that have gone a bit longer and may benefit from a little extra fluff n puff, we ask that you call us to schedule so we can best accommodate your pet's specific needs.

We ask that only ONE pet be scheduled per appointment. We do not look for "extra" friends in the notes section, and this can sometimes lead to confusion at drop off. If there is not more than one option available for that day, go ahead and call us so we best accommodate your pack. We often schedule large families of 4 or more over the phone.

4worldlovers: Regular grooming is essential to the maintenance of your pet's health. Keep your pet smelling and looking attractive, prevent parasites, and skin irritations.

While grooming should be done on a consistent basis, the frequency to which your pet needs to be groomed will depend somewhat on daily routines, coat type, age and general health. In addition, your pet will benefit from regular brushing to remove any loose hairs and dead skin cells, to rid the coat of debris and external parasites, and to disseminate skin oils that form along the hair shafts.

We can assist in recommending the proper tools to use for your pet's coat type. If your pet suffers from allergies, our veterinarian may prescribe regular bathing as part of the treatment routine. Be sure to notify us of any special needs your pet may require such as specific shampoos or eye care and bring any of these products with you to your appointment.
