At Montessori Education Centre Charter Schools (MEC), tours and observations may be scheduled by contacting the front office on each campus:

Current parents are welcome to observe the classroom that their child(ren) is enrolled in. MEC recommends scheduling classroom observations after October break. This gives students time to “normalize” and settle into a classroom schedule for the new school year. By choosing to observe after the classroom has established a pattern, you can experience the clearest picture of the Montessori environment your child(ren) experience. When you arrive for an observation, we will share MEC’s Observation Guidelines with you for the optimal outcome of your observation.

We want to recognize three of our upper elementary students who had the opportunity to give speeches on March 25th on behalf of the school and Veterans Heritage Project at the Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans event, honoring those who served during the time of the Vietnam War.


Ava, Joseph, and Luke volunteered to give their speeches and they did an amazing job, with little guidance from their teachers. Rory and Arastyn volunteered to give out honorary pins. Congratulations and well done to these students!

Arizona Tuition Connection will be coming to Montessori International School to host a scholarship training session. We hope you will join us! Tuesday, January 7th from 6-7pm at the Brown Rd. campus.

We are so happy to have such a giving community here at MIS! The amount of food we collected in our canned food drive was just incredible. We hope you have a great holiday season and are able to spread some joy to those around you. Thank you to everyone for your support.

Thank you all so much for your support in donating towards hurricane relief in the Bahamas. In just one day we received two full grocery carts of items. It says a lot about our school, community, what we stand for and what we can accomplish in such a small amount of time. Thank you also to Ms. Meg for stopping by to pick up and deliver. We will continue showing our support by collecting as much as we can for those in need.

Children learn best in small school environments where everyone knows one another. 1-8 teacher-student ratios insure individualized instruction. Each child progresses at his or her own rate and can move ahead regardless of age or grade. Learning to learn and attention to the whole child are prioritized. In addition to an outstanding academic program, students participate in field study, music, drama, art, cultural studies, electives, STEM, workshops, animal care, cooking, team and leadership development, communication skills, and much more. Learning by doing is the truest way to mastery of material. Come see our school filled with inquisitive, kind, intelligent, and enthusiastic learners!

My daughter has been attending this daycare since she was 6 weeks old. She absolutely loves going to school as she puts it (she is 3 now). She always talks about her teachers at home. We are always greeted with a good morning and a good evening when we walk in and out. Yes there has been a lot of changes with the company and staff. During the changes there was a lot of shifts and waves but all in all they have been great to my daughter. My daughter has never been neglected or ignored in any way and when accidents happen I always get an explanation and an incident report. I love the current personnel and would highly recommend this day care.

Very pleased with the recent change of staff. The new director and assistant director (Jessica and Marcella) seem to understand what needs to be done to improve the day care. I see a lot of new improvements in the classrooms and I love it.

My 2 children have been coming here for almost 2 yeArs now. The staff is amazing and seems genuinely interested in the children. They have lesson plans and do frequent activities. The school is clean and doesn't smell, like some others I have checked out. If we miss a day or two my children keep asking when they can go to school. Teresa is the director and always tries to find time to talk th me if there is a concern or to discuss progress and behaviors. Even the owner is there frequently. I went to a lot of places before choosing this one and have never been happier. I have never been concerned about leaving them here. They have learned soon much.

My daughter has been going to this school since she was 2, she's almost 4 now. When she first started she didnt say too many words and within a few months she was saying more and more words daily. Since she has been here with the staff and teachers she has blossomed into an amazing child and her little personality shines through every day with her friends and teachers.
