The Psychology Interjurisdictional Compact (PSYPACT) was designed to allow the practice of telepsychology across state lines. On 03/16/2022, the PSYPACT Commission awarded Dr. Cramer the Authority to Practice Interjurisdictional Telepsychology (APIT). APIT allows Dr. Cramer to practice telepsychology with any patient who resides in any PSYPACT state. At this time, participating states include AK, AL, AZ, CO, DC, DE, GA, IL, KS, KY, MD, ME, MN, MO, NC, NE, NH, NJ, NV, OH, OK, PA, TN, TX, UT, VA, W VA, and WI. Effective 07/01/2022, the list will expand to include ID and IN; and later this year, it will expand to include WA.

Dr. Kathleen Cramer attended Arizona State University and received a Ph.D. in Educational Psychology in May 2003, graduating with honors. She then attended a postdoctoral residency in clinical and forensic psychology and became a licensed psychologist in September 2004. Since then, Dr. Cramer has worked as a clinical and forensic psychologist. She has extensive experience conducting psychotherapy, consultations, and psychological evaluations/testing. Dr. Cramer is a member of the American Psychological Association, American Psychology-Law Society, and Arizona Psychological Association.

My practice offers psychological/neuropsychological testing and individual therapy. Diagnoses arising from psychological testing include learning disorders, Autism-spectrum disorders, ADHD, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, substance-use disorders, cognitive disorders, and personality disorders. My approach to therapy is eclectic and tailored to each patient’s individual needs with a strong emphasis on techniques from Cognitive Behavior Therapy. Therapy is conducted with patients struggling with various diagnoses such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, physical disabilities, etc.

However, you do not need to have a “problem” or “disorder” to benefit from individual therapy. For example, psychologists can help people make important decisions and learn how to manage their lives more productively. Just as you visit physicians for preventive care, you can meet with a psychologist to address issues before they become problematic. This proactive approach encourages the development of psychological health. Most patient-therapist communications are confidential. However, the law does specify some exceptions, such as interventions when you might be a danger to yourself or others. If we bill your insurance company on your behalf, then we may have to release information requested by your insurance company to process your claim.
