Tolmachoff Farms is a unique four generation family farm operated in Glendale, Arizona by Bill and Gracie Tolmachoff and their four children Bill, Ashley, Michael and Brooke. The farm originally grew cotton, wheat and corn in the first part of this century. Bill Senior started selling plums in the early 1970’s from a roadside stand and the pick your own farm fresh produce stand has continued to grow ever since. We grow a large variety of fruit’s and vegetables and strive to provide you and your family with the ultimate in fresh produce straight from the field to your table.

4worldlovers: Pinnacle Farms is a combined 17 acres, 7 of which are located at the Base of South Mountain at 27th Ave and Dobbins, and a 10 acre field in Waddell under the White tanks. The historic orchard property in Laveen came with a falling down 1918 adobe home, abandoned for many years prior. Now known as Pinnacle Farms South, I purchased the property in 2011, and it is re-developed into a mixed fruit orchard with over 1200 trees, including peaches and rare Maktoom Dates brought from Iraq in 1910 (which were one of the few living things left after the years of neglect.) In homage to Phoenix's agricultural past, I replanted the citrus orchard in the front of the property with lemons, grapefruits and oranges and mandarins.

Preserving and promoting the desert Southwest's diversity is key to keeping our agriculture in Phoenix. There are many varieties are uniquely suited to our arid climate and offer tastes and textures most have never encountered in the grocery store. Some, like I’itoi onions, Tohono O’dham squashes, Maktoom Dates and Rio Bavispe pinto beans have almost faded into the past, never to be seen again, but growing these old varieties out brings new attention to them, and how they can be used to promote food security in the desert, while using our precious resources more carefully.

We grow seasonal fruits and vegetables naturally by hand and sell them daily at the farm, and across the valley. We make all our baked goods on the farm with simple and wholesome ingredients. 4worldlovers: This new season on the farm is bringing about change, but we’re hoping it’s beautiful change. The same fields you have enjoyed for fresh air and making memories are open, but in a simpler way for Pictures, Pumpkins and Play Areas. This year offers more of our signature sunflowers along with historic Arizona cotton. Yes, we will still have pumpkins in October, but our focus will be on celebrating the family farm, enjoying the outdoors, giving the kiddos a place to roam and explore, and enjoying some tasty treats from local food trucks on the weekends.
