Opened in August 2016 in Phoenix, Arizona, UnderTow offers an atmosphere to indulge in classic Tiki & modern, exotic cocktails. The environment whisks guests away on a 90-minute journey in the belly of a spice trader’s turn-of-the-century Clipper ship, which follows the adventures of our revered Captain John Mallory and his crew. UnderTow’s signature décor and special effects have been custom-created by various commissioned artists. We are also the proud home of the original recipe “Pornstar Martini” in the United States, prepared correctly since our doors opened in 2014. Experience the authentic taste of what made this drink a global sensation, made exactly to the original recipe just how it was made back at LAB Bar, London circa 2004.

At Bitter & Twisted, we believe that the quality of the ice used in our bar can make all the difference in our guest's experience. We believe that the little things matter, and that's why we've made it our mission since day one to make our own large format ice, from scratch.

When it comes to cocktails, the use of crystal-clear large block ice can instantly elevate the credibility of any bar's program. It's a clear indication of the establishment's attention to detail and commitment to providing only the finest ingredients. Making our own ice, instead of simply buying it, is a time-consuming process, but we feel the results are truly worth it, and is one of the many things we do within our bar that sets us apart from the rest.

Bitter & Twisted is a seated establishment, and while we do try to accommodate everyone we are bound by our legal capacity. We're not trying to be cool but sadly we have limited space, and we just can’t think of a better and fairer system than first come, first served, especially during peak times.

An accurate head count is always required, please do not exceed the amount stated on the waitlist or your reservation.

Sadly, we do not participate in any bar crawls, we're just not set up for it being a seated bar with a limited capacity.

Bitter & Twisted operates as a 21 & over the establishment and only allows identification ruled valid by the DLLC.

Please note that groups will be presented with one bill, which may be split up to four separate ways. A 22% service charge will be added to all parties of 6 or more. Zelle, Venmo or PayPal is your friend.

Walk-ins are welcomed and encouraged if reservations are unavailable. If we are on a wait on a busy night guests can join the waitlist remotely via Tock. On weekends or busy concert and event nights, we operate on a first come - first serve basis during any peak times.

We happily accept reservations when available. We release limited reservations for each day. If there are none available, please use the waitlist.

We created Little Rituals for you, our guest, to celebrate the most special parts of life--the “little rituals”, if you will--and to create lasting memories. We believe the key to creating those memories is offering exceptional hospitality

This bar has its own “little rituals”, some of which have been gleaned from 150 years of cocktail history and all of which we’ve made our own. We stock only the highest quality spirits; we fresh squeeze all citrus juice in-house daily, and painstakingly create dozens of syrups, infusions, tinctures, foams, flawless ice and garnishes using modern techniques & technology. When possible, we take advantage of seasonal produce and flavors, and incorporate them into both our cocktail and food menus.


Little Rituals is a seated establishment, and while we do try to accommodate everyone we are bound by our legal capacity. We're not trying to be cool but sadly we have limited space. Reservations are STRONGLY recommended, and last a standard duration of 120 minutes. You can always reserve a table in advance up to 21 days HERE.


Walk-ins are always accepted based on availability. We have a limited waitlist, and being on the waitlist is not a guarantee of seating. It’s always best to make a reservation. Walk-in parties will be seated up until last call (15 minutes before close). You can join the waitlist online or in-person only.
