Bike noob, here! After visiting another local bike shop where I was completely ignored, I decided to give Gilbert Global Bikes a try. I was only in the store for a minute or so when Dylan came out to see if I needed help. I told him that I know absolutely ZERO about bikes and am the proud owner of rusty, 12 year old Schwinn from Wal-Mart. I wanted a bike that I could ride on the road and sometimes take out on rougher terrain with my kids, but had a budget - good quality, reliable and cost-effective, please! He was really patient and I didn’t feel even slightly judged about being a novice. He went over the pros and cons of several, and gave me an opportunity to ride all of them around the parking lot, taking time to ensure that they all fit properly. I ended up buying a Batch Mountain Bike and can’t wait to ride it! I plan on taking my husbands Trek there to give it a makeover because I don’t feel like I’ll be sold anything we don’t need. Overall, the shopping experience was pressure-free, informative and really enjoyable. I look forward giving this whole mountain biking thing a try!! **UPDATE** My hubs and I took his old Trek to the Gilbert location to get an overhaul and found out that nearly everything needed to replaced. I feel really confident that the young man (I'm so sorry I don't remember his name!) was being completely honest because he demonstrated the major issues, so we knew we weren't in a shady car mechanic situation. Between the problems we knew the bike had and the ones we didn't, the cost of repairs was more than the bike's value. We decided a new bike was the best call. We went up front to work with David to find a bike that was similar in value and my husband ended up purchasing a Raleigh Talus 2. David was just as awesome as Dylan: super friendly, very knowledgable, detail-oriented to make sure the fit was perfect and he didn't pressure us for a sale. After seeing my husband get his sweet new ride, I got a little envious and decided to exchange the Batch MTB for something a little more robust. The next morning I brought the Batch in and exchanged it for a Specialized Rockhopper Sport 29. David was there again and was every bit as helpful as Dylan was with my first purchase - he watched me ride to ensure a proper fit and brought out a couple of options I hadn't considered to make sure I got the bike that felt perfect. The whole exchange process was super smooth! We haven't taken our new bikes out yet because they're from Santa, BUT, we're more excited than ever to give legit mountain biking a try now that we're properly equipped. Thanks so much for the fantastic experiences all 3 times that we came by!! A year and a half later, we brought our son to GB and were helped by the store manager, Andrew! He helped our son pick a Trek Marlin 5 that not only fits him now, but will be something he can grow into. It’s the perfect mountain bike that he can still ride throughout the neighborhood with his friends. Still happy as ever with this company and their service!

Since 1956 Landis Cyclery Phoenix has been right here on Indian School Road and 7th Avenue. Grandparents and parents in the valley have fond memories of picking up their first bike at this location.
