    4worldlovers: Located on Roosevelt Row in Downtown Phoenix, Songbird is a purveyor of fine coffee and tea.

    Songbird Coffee & Tea House opened July 23, 2012 and is located in an historic house built in 1904.

    As a small business owner, I chose other small, local businesses to partner with; our coffees are sourced from Cortez Coffee Roasters in Tempe, our loose leaf teas and chai come from Maya Tea Company in Tucson and our kombucha comes from Fermented Tea Company also in Tucson.

    While our focus is coffee and tea, you will love our house-made pastries and breakfast sandwiches.

    I am proud to have a low staff turn-over so that we all personally get to know our customers and in turn, our customers are assured of consistent quality. 60% of the faces we welcome are our regulars, but we have fun meeting a beautiful variety of people from all walks of life every day. No matter who you are, who you love, or where you are in life: come on in! Business people, students, creatives, nursing mothers, LGBTQ- I want you to feel comfortable... Songbird is an extension of your living room.

    Being a part of the Roosevelt Row Arts District has put us in the perfect location to showcase the work of local artists, and to host local writers, poets, musicians, dancers and spoken word.

    I love supporting small local coffee shops and this one did not disappoint. The shop was a charming one — once a gas station and now remodeled into a functional coffee shop! There was a line even on a later-than-normal weekday morning, so you know this is where it’s at. I went later in the morning at ~7am, but they do open as early at 5am; perfect for when you need an early start, but don’t want to be starving on your drive.
