Classes are taught via live demonstration, with plenty of interaction and time for questions. You will leave with the recipes and inspiration to re-create the dishes for those you love. For 17 years, Connie, her Staff, and Chefs have prided themselves on providing clients with safe and sanitary conditions (in accordance with Maricopa County Health and Environmental Services Department Guidelines) to enjoy and learn about the wonderful world of cooking, AND making their kitchen the Heart of their Homes .

My culinary journey began as a child in Minnesota, the land of 10,000 lakes, AND casseroles and comfort food galore! Both my mother and grandmother were incredible cooks and about 350 days per year were spent enjoying delicious meals at home, created in humble kitchens.

Fast forward forty years, and it's 2004, and I am now living in Scottsdale, Arizona. The kitchens in most homes are breathtaking - yet no one cooks at home. Rather kitchens are a showcase - a part of a house to be admired and not necessarily utilized. I was sharing this observation with a friend, whom had recently located to AZ from the East Coast, and we both marveled at the same thing. "How are families enjoying home cooked meals together at home, since no one cooks?" With the help of our daughters' preschool director, Patty and I started teaching moms how to make easy meals, during time that our children were in preschool. What a concept! The Arizona Republic came to do a story on this big idea, and Love'n the Kitchen was born!

With help of local Superstar chefs like Kevin Binkley, Beau Macmillan, Lee Hillson and Vincent Guerithault, being willing to be our debut "Guest Chefs", we were given credibility in the foodie scene in the Valley. Certainly with the economic hardships of the late 2000's, many people could no longer afford to say "where are we going for dinner" - instead they said "what are we going to cook for dinner". Our business boomed, and sponsors came calling.

We are the only cooking school in Arizona to be sponsored by Subzero - Wolf, Challenge Dairy and more. We offer cooking clubs, guest chefs events, private/custom classes, as well as seasonal A la Carte classes. In Fall of 2023, we begin our 18th year in business and we are so grateful for you continued loyalty and support. Creating a home cooked meal really is the best way to share Love'n the Kitchen, and we make it easy and fun!

4. CANCELLATION POLICY: There are no refunds at Love'n the Kitchen. If you must miss the fun, you may send someone in your place to the original scheduled date. If you would rather reschedule and can notify us at least 3 days in advance, we will apply 50% of the cost of the class to a class in the following month. No credit will be given for cancellations less than 72 hours before a class.

Has been teaching people how to improve on their outdoor cooking experience. Classes are most every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from late October to mid-May. Take a 6 hour class and learn BBQ magic ~ become the person on your block that is the expert when it comes to BBQ.


Want to learn how to deep fry a chicken or turkey? No problem this can be included as part of your BBQ and Grilling experience. And yes – if we teach you how to deep fry a turkey we will teach you how to avoid burning down your house! You will learn how to do it right!

Our staff has been teaching BBQ and Grilling since 1998 and we have lots of experience helping individuals master the art of cooking on a grill or using a smoker.
