Randy showed up ready to work man! Boy did I have some stuff to show him and questions. Many other companies might have taken advantage of that and "created work" not needed. Randy was super helpful, looked at EVERYTHING I showed him, spent more than enough time talking me through things he was seeing and quickly determined that I did not need his services. He not only put my new homeowner mind to ease (besides the minor work I need to do now...lol) but he also recommended others I can go to for some help. 4worldlovers: In 1988, Sundance Insulation was founded by Dave King. Dave began working for his dad’s insulation company (King Insulation) when he was 13 years old. Dave started installing insulation with his dad and brothers then eventually, as he got older, began selling and managing. Dave’s brothers went off to do their own thing and Dave decided to branch out on his own. Sundance was formed with a truckload of insulation and a friend (Tony Miller, who to this day, oversees daily operations) to help him install it. In the beginning, he would take any job, sometimes jobs other insulation companies didn’t want. He’ll admit that the beginning years were tough! He lost money, made mistakes, lived on Hamburger Helper (and still loves it to this day) and had to borrow money to pay his mortgage, but he kept going. With determination and will, Dave eventually added Drywall contracting after saving every extra penny to buy an old truck with a rack for drywall. He now had Sundance Insulation & Drywall. The two trades go hand in hand, so it was a step in the right direction.

Today, Dave continues to be involved in the daily sales, management and operation of the business. Dave’s wife works in the office along with his oldest son who is a sales rep part-time on his “off” days as a Phoenix Fireman and his youngest son works part-time, while in school, as a mechanic. Along with family members, Tony Miller (General Superintendent), and his brother Rob Miller (Senior Estimator) and JR Bene (Quality Control and Customer Service Manager) have been with Sundance for over three decades. Without them, Dave could not have done this on his own. They all play very special roles in making Sundance what it is today…..a customer service orientated company.


After 35 years, Dave feels blessed and truly appreciates his repeat customers and long-term, dedicated employees. Dave believes the quality of work, attention to detail and superb customer service is what makes Sundance what it is today!
