The West Valley Art Museum brings people from all over Arizona to experience high quality art with a variety of themes, from Asian to experimental installations to world costumes from more than 60 countries. Visitors can take in a diverse display of art, since the permanent collection contains more than 1600 items. A “fine print” has participation by the artist, either doing the preparation of the plates/blocks and the printing himself/herself, or working with a master printer. All of the works in our Fine Print Collection are first edition prints with active participation in the plate preparation and printing by the artist.


The Ethnic Dress Collection includes artifacts from the cultures the clothing is from. This often includes domestic utensils, weaving and fabric printing paraphernalia, dolls, ceramics, ritual objects, musical instruments and a few artistic creations as in Chinese painting and calligraphy.


Original works from Artists living and working in Arizona, or have had a major part of their career in Arizona and are generally known as "Arizona Artists". Many in our collection have chosen to spend their final years in Arizona (usually 10 years or more) but were originally from other areas.

The Museum operates at Peoria City Hall Art Gallery, with an annual juried show, collection showcases, and new exhibits year round. With a Board of Trustees, a small group of dedicated volunteers, a loyal core group, and expanded fundraising as well as new programming, the West Valley Art Museum continues to be a premier cultural venue evolving forward, ever mindful of its unique history and fine art collection.
