We are a community resource for cultural activities and a tireless advocate for Phoenix West Valley artists. Ground Floor Artists is supported through grants, corporate sponsors, and through generous contributions of community members like you.

4worldlovers: GALLERY 37 is West Valley Art’s award-winning summer youth public art program. For five-weeks, students, ages 15 to 18 years-old, work with a professional artist to design, develop and install a permanent piece of public art for a West Valley city.

Creative Aging classes are designed for participants ages 55 and up, with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other obstacles. Here at West Valley Arts, we seek to especially serve seniors with limited resources so they too have access to the benefits of the arts.

WVA connects schools with expert teaching artists in music, visual arts, and general arts education to further support West Valley students. The ongoing music and arts training we provide to teachers trickles back into classrooms and improves the way children learn and experience the arts.

Specifically designed to recognize artists of color in and around the valley, this program seeks to highlight those impressions through ongoing exhibitions, workshops and lectures.

Viva La Cultura! is a part of our IMPRINT: Elevating Cultural Diversity in the Arts program, a series of annual exhibitions, workshops, lectures, and celebrations designed to recognize artists of color in and around the valley. We believe artists of color have made significant and positive contributions to our collective culture and communities through the arts. West Valley Arts Council seeks to highlight those impressions through ongoing activities and opportunities to engage with diverse perspectives, places, and heritage.

Viva La Cultura! features the works of Kathy Cano-Murillo, Rick Pacheco, Martha Hernandez, Vanessa Ortiz, Xavier Valenzuela, and Nathanael Reveles.

The Arts HQ Gallery is one of the West Valley’s premier exhibition spaces located in the heart of Surprise, Arizona. The gallery is focused on providing innovative, diverse, and intentional art experiences that are educational and accessible to all people. Each exhibit is thoughtful and carefully curated, working with both emerging and seasoned local artists who seek to engage communities with meaningful work. Our exhibits are free and open daily to the public; primarily relying on the generosity and support of sponsors, donors, patrons, and all who recognize the importance of the arts.

The Arts HQ Gallery executes 6 - 8 exhibitions per year as well as various performances, festivals, and open air markets showcasing the talent and creativity of individual artists, musicians, performers and artisans. Additionally, the gallery hosts a myriad of community events, workshops, and lecture series promoting education, healing, understanding, creativity, and wellness.

West Valley Arts Council and its Arts HQ Gallery is located in the heart of Surprise, Arizona, just a leisurely stroll away from Surprise City Hall, Ottawa University, and the Surprise Baseball Stadium, which is the Spring Training home of the Kansas City Royals and Texas Rangers.
