Patrick travels the world in search of the finest beans and often works directly with coffee farmers to source the green beans that Infusion roasts. Every green coffee bean that enters our lab undergoes extensive Coffee Quality Institute (CQI) quality testing procedures including visual inspections of defects, moisture and density meter, water activity meter, and screen sizing. If the coffee passes these quality tests, then it gets to move to the roaster!

Every single coffee and tea we share is a product of the passion, knowledge, and experience of Infusion owner and world-renowned coffee expert, Patrick O’Malley. Patrick is a roast master, tea sommelier, a coffee competition judge, an authorized SCA trainer, and only the 43rd person in the world to receive an SCA Diploma. He works in every facet of the coffee industry. From the sale and repair of espresso machines, roasting coffee, and the wholesale and distribution of fine coffee and teas to designing, building, and managing Infusion, Patrick has a deep knowledge and passion for coffee that he instills in every roaster and barista on staff. The entire Infusion team is committed to their craft and will share their knowledge with anyone who is eager to learn the story in every cup.

I stopped by out of curiosity and they were open. As a caffeine addict I HAD to try something. The two girls there were very friendly and helpful. I asked them what they would recommend, I did not regret it. It was an iced coffee beverage that tastes like non-alcoholic Kahlua topped with whipped cream and a chocolate covered espresso bean. Definitely coming back again soon!

The Human Bean is my fav place to get something quick. The times I've gone, there isn't many people waiting in line, so it's great. When for example you order an Acai smoothie, they put a little bean on top of the whipped cream! Delicious! You can see what else they have in the photos I provided! :)

We are a locally owned coffee shop in Tempe, Arizona serving artisanal coffee, pastries and pizzas. At Brick Road, everyone is welcome. We are LGBTQA and sober-community friendly. In fact, "community," is very important to us.

We all travel our own paths in life, laying one brick at a time and taking each turn as it comes.

Our mission is to be more than just a fabulous little coffee shop. We are working hard to create a place where the community intersects, connects, and supports each other in their individual goals.

Raised in small towns of the rural Midwest, owners Gabe and Jesse were somehow lucky enough to meet in Southern California fourteen years ago and proudly call each other “husband” today. Their careers in finance brought them to Arizona, where they’ve been blessed to call Tempe home.

For many, the recent global pandemic has been a time to reflect on how time and energy are spent and what marks an individual will leave on their family and neighbors. Gabe and Jesse knew it was time to leave the corporate world and create a legacy born out of the desire to create and cultivate community.

In their early years together in Southern California, they realized just how much coffee shops are centers of the communities they serve. Their hope is that the community born at Brick Road Coffee can help to elevate their neighbors and make a small yet meaningful impact on their lives. After all, we are all sharing this journey through life, and every road traveled is better with more love & caffeine!
