My family and I have been training at GD Jiu Jitsu for over 6 years. We enjoy the positive vibe at this location. The gym is very clean. They offer so many class times from 6:30am to 6:30pm Monday through Friday. Also, they have open mat during the weekend. The coaches are very knowledgeable and experienced in the art of jiu jitsu. I definitely would recommend this academy!

Gustavo is awesome! the rest of the instructor team is top notch! fellow students are very nice and helpful. This is a bjj school that really feels like a great SCHOOL.

I'm older (almost 50) and out of shape (I wear an A6 gi). I cant do anything about my age, but I figured I could work on my weight. I was really self conscious about coming in. I met and talked with Gustavo and he made me feel at ease. The people and trainers have been great and a real help. This is definitely something out if my comfort zone, but day by day it's getting better and better and I have never sweated more in my life, definitely a calorie burner! It's been great.

Everyone is welcoming and the coaches are very knowledgeable and good at breaking down different specifics.

This is an amazing atmosphere for not just adults but the whole family. Even if you wanna do it just as a personal goal to lose weight and have fun doing it, or a little more serious to compete. They have something for everyone. Me as a woman I enjoy it as a self defense class. I feel this is almost the closest thing to real world attack. You will most likely be on the ground and need to get off your back or choke someone out from the bottom. My lovely saying "They don't tap in the real world!" Just check them out. We are more like family here than anything else. We look out for each other and help in anyway we can!

My name is Ms. Erika Duran Chavez De Rienzo, and I am proud to be serving as the principal at Fees College Preparatory Middle School (FCPMS). A little about me, I started my career in the Tempe Elementary School District as a teacher at Laird School. I was one of the first teachers that assisted in opening the middle school while at Laird School. After Laird, I moved to Fees College Preparatory Middle School where I held the roles of a Math Teacher, TOSA, Assistant Principal, and now Principal.

FCMPS is a generational, family-oriented community where all staff members work together to ensure all students receive the best support possible in both academic and social settings. We provide all students with an inclusive learning environment that is safe, supportive, and aligned with state standards. At FCMPS, our goal is to ensure every student receives an education centered around their specific needs while providing an opportunity for continued academic growth.

FCPMS is a one-to-one technology school where students are issued a Chromebook to access the curriculum throughout the day, in addition to learning new technical skills. FCPMS is also fortunate to have an on-site tech support staff member to assist students and staff. By being a one-to-one technology school, FCPMS continues to foster a learning environment that supports the transition to high school, college, and future career pathways for all of our students.

FCPMS offers afterschool sports programs to all of our middle school students. This provides an opportunity for middle school students to acquire the foundational skills of a sport and prepare them for sports at the high school and collegiate levels. We have a variety of sports offered throughout the school year for all of our students. FCPMS also works with the All-City Athletic Conference through the City of Tempe to offer football, combined girls/boys volleyball, and girls/boys basketball.

I view education as a life-long process and that it takes every staff member to ensure the success of every student at FCPMS. I am excited to share my experiences, my instructional knowledge, my student-centered approach, and share these skills with the FCPMS family to improve the educational experiences of all students. Most importantly, I bring a belief that students are the center of all school-related decisions that are made here at FCPMS.
