What started as a small construction project in the early 1950s developed into a 10-acre National Historic District designed and built by acclaimed Arizona artist Ettore “Ted” DeGrazia. The Gallery in the Sun Museum has six permanent collections of paintings that trace historical events and native cultures of the Southwest. Rotating exhibitions display some of the 15,000 DeGrazia originals housed at the Gallery. A consignment room displays DeGrazia originals available for purchase, while the gift shop offers a wide selection of reproductions. The grounds also include the Mission in the Sun, with its rock floors, interior murals, and open-air roof. The Gallery is open daily from 10am-4pm.

Wonderful little get-away from the hustle and bustle of life. The grounds are just as beautiful as the artwork. Everything has Ted DeGraiza's touch-he artfully built his studio, gallery, and gardens as carefully as he constructed his art. Wonderful guest gallery where you can purchase art from local artists as well as a gift shop. Modest entrance fee of $8 for adults. And the cactus landscape that surrounds the gallery is beautiful.

Such a treasure! It's a very unique experience to be able to view the artwork, walk through the artist's home and roam the grounds, learn the history and hear about his motivation all in one location. Absolutely beautiful.
