Hello! My name is Natalie Killom. I'm delighted to be Artistic Director of the Tucson Women's Chorus. I love community choirs, I love women coming together, and I love this group of people!


Choirs in general were not really been choir for the year and a half of the pandemic, especially the ones taking the necessary precaution of meeting virtually. We did our best with that, but all the while we knew "this is not choir." We missed the connection, the warmth of our sisters in song around us, the vibrations of voices, and our breath synchronizing together. It is beyond exciting to have resumed somewhat "normal" rehearsals.


The chorus has gained many new members, and I am happy to hear that former members are returning little by little. I know that I will be new to you, but I hope you feel my excitement and that the spirit of moving forward is in the air. It feels wonderful to me.


I began with TWC in Fall, 2021 when, after giving birth to my first baby in April, I made the difficult decision not to return to work as a choir teacher. I was so grateful to get to keep music in my life with weekly rehearsals, while for the most part staying home with my baby, Stella. And now, having become such a part of this community of women, I am so happy to continue with TWC even as I resume full time work as Music Teacher at Prince Elementary School.


Previously, I'd taught choir for 3 years at Salpointe High School. I've spent nearly half my life involved with the Tucson Girls Chorus as a singer, then assistant, and finally as conductor. I have a strong belief in the powers of music and community to shape lives and to increase the overall well-being of individuals.

At the Tucson Girls Chorus, we believe that every voice deserves to be heard, cherished, and celebrated. TGC believes that every girl's voice matters! For nearly four decades, we have been nurturing young talents and empowering young hearts to grow into confident, compassionate, and community-minded individuals. Our mission is to create a space where confidence soars and lasting friendships bloom, all through the shared love of singing together.

4worldlovers: This holiday season, the Arizona Repertory Singers focuses on its vast repertoire and showcases the choral music our Tucson audiences have enjoyed for the last 40 years. For this special anniversary season, we reflect on our choral legacy and also present pieces by well-known contemporary composers. Audiences will be delighted by choral classics such as Shaw/Parker’s “Masters in this Hall” and “Fum, Fum, Fum,” as well as “What Sweeter Music” by John Rutter and Felix Mendelssohn’s “Weihnachten.” Newer additions to our repertoire include Cristian Grases’ “Abreme la Puerta” and Shawn Kirchner’s “Brightest and Best” with guitar and violin accompaniment. This holiday concert is joyous, ethereal, festive, tranquil and inspiring. Join us for our choral holiday journey!
