She holds her Naturopathic Medical Degree (NMD) from Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine (SCNM) in Tempe, Arizona. SCNM is a 4 year, accredited medical school. Prior to medical school, she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Arizona with a minor in Chemistry. She worked as a Research Scientist at the U of A College of Medicine for 11 years which she truly enjoyed. During that time she was raising her young family using more natural methods. When she felt a calling for a career change, she knew allopathic medical school was not where her interests lie. She found SCNM almost by accident and decided to attend a "Discovery Day" at the school. From the moment she walked through the doors, she knew that this is where she belonged. She is very passionate about Naturopathic medicine and feels blessed by the opportunities it provides for true health and healing for her patients and her family.


She lives in Tucson with her husband, 3 labradors, one naughty ferret and occasionally one of her 3 adult children. She strives daily to improve lives by following the natural path.

First, we schedule an initial 15 minute discovery call where you can briefly review your case with Dr. Thatcher so she can consider if she feels confident treating your case and you can ask any questions you have before becoming a patient. If we mutually agree, we'll get you on the schedule as a new patient!

The first appointment is a complete, detailed history and gathering of information. Your current medications and supplements are evaluated, and pertinent labs may be ordered This first appointment is 90 minutes to 2 hours in length. The second visit is typically a complete evaluation of any labs that have come back as well as an individually designed treatment plan. The patient is an integral partner with the doctor in their health, wellness, and recovery so every effort is made to include the patient in these decisions. This second visit typically lasts 60-90 minutes.

Subsequent follow up appointments typically last 30-60 minutes depending on the situation and the depth of the issue.

Dr. Thatcher is considered an out-of-network provider for most insurance companies in Arizona.

Payment for services are rendered at the time of service. Your receipt is a superbill which you can then submit to your insurance company for reimbursement. Check with your particular insurance company on their out-of-network policy.
