The Cafe Poca Cosa was started in the mid 80’s by Suzanna Davila and her father Luis Davila. The restaurant occupied a miniscule space on Scott Ave. nestled between Broadway Blvd. and Congress Street, next door to what was at the time, the Federal courthouse. Suzanna very quickly moved on to bigger and better things and moved into what was then the Santa Rita Hotel, catty corner to the original location. Her father, Luis Davila continued on in the little space on Scott Ave, dancing with customers and walking them through the kitchen, for several years with his daughters Sandra & Marcela until the building was demolished…

I’m so glad you’re still feeding the public! I used to love eating at the old location, where your dad would invite us into the kitchen to see what he had cooking. Back in town for a visit and the deliciousness and warmth did not disappoint!

This place really blew me away. Colorful and vibrant decor and little items for display and sale…The food excellent! Delicious! But what really blew me away was how genuinely NICE the women who were running everything were. Every moment of their time was spent trying to make the space, food and environment a good experience for their guests. This place is a treasure!

What a great local restaurant! Fresh ingredients every single time we have eaten there, food for all diets and their fresh juices are a must have!

Stopped by on our way to the Tucson Museum of Art. Good location near by! Wonderful staff: friendly and positive. Delicious food: vegan options! Large portions and coffee refills. Colorful and fun space with outdoor seating. Great spot for Mexican breakfast/lunch.
