4worldlovers: Camp Adventure has been a Tucson tradition for over 50 years! Since the beginning, we have filled the summer days with activities that engage children, help them develop a sense of community, and present learning opportunities throughout the experience. We are lucky enough to host camp on a beautiful 10-acre outdoor campus, which is also home to Tucson Country Day School.

Camp Abilities is an overnight educational sports camp for children and young adults who are blind, deafblind, or have multiple disabilities including visual impairment. The purpose of the camp is to empower young people with visual impairments to be physically active, improve their overall health and wellness, encourage them to make food choices that support an active lifestyle, and develop their confidence and self-esteem through sport and physical activity. Camp introduces participants to introduces a variety of sports, including swimming, strength training, horseback riding, blind soccer, beep baseball, goalball, golf, and bowling. Participants benefit from low staff to athlete ratios during all physical activities and events. Camp Abilities Tucson is funded primarily through grants and donations, in conjunction with the EverMor Foundation.


The Evermor Foundation is committed to helping young adults with visual impairments explore opportunities and optimize their potential in all aspects of life. Sports education programs like Camp abilities help students achieve their personal physical fitness goals and develop socialization skills with peers and instructors within a positive environment.

Performance Coaches at Camp Abilities Tucson are pooled from physical education, special education, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and vision programs from across the United States. Head Coaches are trained individuals in the fields of vision, physical education, adapted physical education, deaf education, teacher certification, and teachers of the visually impaired/ O&M instructors.

Established in 1965, Camp Wildcat is a student-run, non-profit organization at the University of Arizona that provides quality, cost-free camping trips and day activities for underserved and underfunded schools throughout the Tucson community. We offer children the opportunity to challenge personal limits, build interpersonal skills, explore creative outlets, enhance self-esteem, and view higher education and personal success as attainable goals!
